Africonexion: Cultural Consultants

I studied Literature and English at the University of Dar es Salaam, 1973-76, graduating with a first class degree (what Americans call summa cum laude). I did doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1980-86 in African Languages and Literature, and was awarded the Dean's Fellowship for excellence. I have taught Literature and English since 1976, at the University of Dar es Salaam, University of Burundi, and St. Olaf College. I enjoy teaching literature from all over the world, and I enjoy working with students. I have published articles on Literature as well as two study guides: "Notes on Achebe's 'Things Fall Apart'" and "Notes on 'Song of Lawino.'"
