About
Hello! I'm a professor of civil engineering at UMN, and I'm looking to help more students with part-time tutoring. I've been tutoring high school and college since 2009 and teaching since 2013. I became a certified math teacher in Texas (grades 8-12) from the nationally-recognized UTeach program and have a BS in computer science. I've been teaching engineering since 2017.
I use Socratic or inquiry-based methods to help students understand and retain concepts, and I enjoy watching students "get it."

How did you get started teaching?
I studied math education during college from 2010-2013 culminating in a teacher certification.
What types of students have you worked with?
I was a student teacher for 9th grade algebra, and teach engineering to college and graduate students. I tutored high school and college students online in 2009-2012 and high school math in 2015.
