I am a high school social studies teacher with 2+ years of teaching experience. I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in 5-12 Social Studies Education from Concordia University St. Paul. I have expertise in test preparation, helping high-school-aged students excel in social studies and prepare for standardized tests. I have built ACT/SAT preparation skills into my 11th-grade social studies curriculum; identifying main ideas, interpreting key details, understanding the sequence of events, making comparisons, and comprehending cause-effect relationships. Put the content to the side, tests are intended to challenge students, and this can shake their confidence; In regards to the these tests, I struggled with confidence, it's normal. I keep expectations high, not impossible, and reasonably support my students so they can see their own success. Whether it be assistance in your Calculus, Economics, English, or Biology classes, my goal is to help you increase proficiency and to reach your potential.
