Hi! I am in my 12th year of teaching at the Elementary level. I have been a 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher, an elementary technology teacher, and am currently a STEAM teacher. In addition, I have tutored in both an in person summer school and virtually for many years. I recently relocated from Northern Michigan to the Grand Rapids area with my teenage hockey playing son. Something that I have been missing with the transition has been developing and connecting with students as individuals. I absolutely love to help students build confidence by bringing in their personal interest to help them understand frustrating topics.

Patience, practice, confidence, breaking it down, focus on foundation first, comfortable environment, safe environment, and the opportunity/flexibility to just "go with it" in order to give each individual student tools to transfer skills to be successful.
