Micah Merck

I’m a compassionate and experienced tutor with a strong background in education and support. Since December 2022, I’ve worked at Sylvan Learning, helping students build confidence in reading, basic writing, and foundational math. Prior to that, I worked full-time from May 2016 through the end of 2020 mentoring adults with special needs, which deeply shaped my calm, patient, and adaptive teaching style. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University and am committed to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel safe to learn, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.
