I've tutored many students in my school and I've learned that the best way to communicate and explain concepts is to use my peers' language and how they learn best to help them understand. I get to know them first: get to know their learning style, what they usually struggle with, how they approach a new concept. Getting to know my students doesn't only help me in teaching them but it also helps when my students are comfortable with me.
