About
Hello! My name is Batoul Nasser and I am a fourth-year medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. I have been tutoring for 6+ years, with experience in K-12 material, as well as undergraduate material. I am comfortable working with a variety of ages, from kindergarten all the way up to adults. I am also proficient in a broad range of subjects including math, science (Basic Science, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry), reading, and English.
My goal is to get to know each student individually so that I can tailor my approach to best suit their needs. I learn about your personal goals and your starting point, so that we can create the best plan to reach those goals. I am flexible with my teaching approach, until the correct method gets the best results. I welcome feedback and guidance from my students and/or parents so that we can have the best approach moving forward. My overall goal is to teach you the study skills and strategies needed in order to succeeed, not just in the short-term, but in the long run as well. My favorite part about tutoring is watching my students grasp difficult concepts and become more confident in themselves and their abilities. Every single person is capable of success. And I want to provide you with the tools and skills to set you up for that success.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I would first like to let my students take charge. Once we figure out the logistics, I like to figure out where we're struggling so that we can start working on an approach to better understand the concept. If an approach doesn't work, then I continue to modify my methods until I see success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Science with a Major in Biochemistry and Minor in History
Master Of Science in Molecular and Integrative Physiology
Anticipated Medical Degree May, 2023
Throughout all of my training, I have been teaching and mentoring students. I genuinely care about your success and will really dedicate my time to watching you thrive and succeed.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am pretty flexible about pricing and take various factors into account (virtual vs. In-person, your availability/situation). Please reach out and we can come to an agreement together!
How did you get started teaching?
Initially, I had started off volunteering and found that I loved whenever it was in the role of an educator. It is so fulfilling to watch as someone grasps a difficult concept and begins to gradually improve because of something you did.
What types of students have you worked with?
Elementary students, middle school students, high school students, undergraduate students, and medical students. I have also worked with more difficult students as well as students with disability with success.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
At the end of the day, you need to work with someone YOU are the most comfortable with. This is about your knowledge, success, and future, so find someone who acknowledges that and makes that a priority. A tutor's goals for you shouldn't only be short-term (doing well on a test or in class), but should leave you with lifelong tools to set you up for success in the future.
