About

Hi! My name is Ellis and I use they/them pronouns. I’m excited to hear from you!

I stand out by being adaptive to students. Every person learns differently, which can be a weakness of teachers who have to educate entire classrooms. My tutoring is very individualized, because I think that students deserve to have someone that cares deeply about how they learn and how they can thrive in the classroom.

Education makes all the difference in student's lives. It's something I have always been passionate about, and I continue to be passionate about as I continue education.

I am a professional software developer, and excel in backend development such as SQL. I am also proficient in artificial intelligence, and have experience with Java, Python, and HTML/CSS.

It’s been awhile but some math (like algebra, math for computer scientists, just ask) is ok!

Frequently asked questions

Get to know their learning style, and see what/how/when they learn best.

I have a bachelor's and master’s degree in computer science, and years of experience tutoring over a variety of subjects. I also have experience tutoring students with disabilities.

My pricing system is that you pay per session. You may pay for one to many sessions in advance, and we can work out a price that works for you and your family.

I got started teaching by helping my high school principle's children through some simple arithmetic, and it grew into teaching algebra to underclassman, eventually teaching college level statistics to fellow classmates.

I have worked with students on the autism spectrum extensively, at k-12 levels and at collegiate levels. I have also worked with students who need different types of engagement that you cannot get in a standard classroom.

Don't settle for someone that you don't like. You should like your teacher; at a personal level, I want to get along with students and treat them like people. Also, pick someone that can adhere to your needs as a student, which is the most important thing.
