Every student learns differently, and I believe tutoring should reflect that. Whether your student already has a strong understanding of the material and wants to move at a faster pace, or they prefer taking more time to fully understand each concept, I tailor every lesson to fit their individual learning style. My goal is to build confidence while creating a comfortable environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.

I value open communication with both students and parents. I actively incorporate parental feedback into my lesson planning while also listening closely to what each student shares about their strengths, challenges, and goals. This collaborative approach allows me to adjust lessons as needed so every session is both engaging and productive.

My tutoring experience extends beyond working with students from kindergarten through 10th grade. I have also helped parents strengthen their own understanding of academic material, allowing them to better support learning at home. Teaching has shown me that education is most effective when everyone involved feels heard and supported.

My commitment to education and student advocacy reaches beyond tutoring. As Student Government President and my principal’s appointed representative at biweekly superintendent meetings, I worked directly with district leadership to advocate for improvements that benefited students and strengthened the learning environment. I also served as Chair of Detroit Area Youth Uniting Michigan (DAYUM), where I collaborated with student leaders to amplify youth voices, promote educational equity, and create meaningful opportunities for students across our communities.

For years, I have dedicated my summers to helping students prepare for the upcoming school year by reinforcing foundational skills and introducing new concepts in a comprehensive, personalized way. As I begin college, I will have greater availability throughout the fall and winter as well, allowing me to continue supporting students beyond the summer months.
