Hello, my name is Francesco! I am a college student who has a passion of helping others gain more knowledge in history, literature, and biblical studies. I am a senior at Oakland University majoring in Political Science, currently taking numerous political science and international relations classes. I graduated from Notre Dame Prep, taking numerous classes such as World Religons, Morality, AP Art History, AP U.S. History, and AP European History. I like to incorporate pop culture, fun facts and overall joy in my class.
I enjoy helping others achieve their goals of mastering their knowledge of history and biblical studies

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would first assess their style of learning (visual, audio, etc). After I assess their learning style, I would make a plan to fit the student's needs and try the different styles to see what works best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Through NHS, I've tutored children within my school community and have done summer tutoring.

$35-30 per hour, depending on grade level
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring through NHS in my high school.

I've worked with students from K-12.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity of traveling to Italy with my family. I visited the beautiful cities of Venice, Rome, Assisi, and Florence. There, I explored the beautiful rustic cities, filled with historic architecture and art. I found it to be a life changing experience by visiting historic monuments in person.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
They would look for someone that is fun, engaging and reliable that takes time and explains things well. They would ask the students opinion on their progress throughout the course.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are they hoping to achieve, where are they struggling, and what is specifically hard for them?
