For The Love Of Learning

I am a dedicated, passionate, certified English Language Arts teacher with nearly two decades of experience both in the classroom and with one-on-one tutoring. I have extensive experience with learning differences, gifted learners, and twice exceptional students.

I believe that learning and play are deeply interwoven. I aim to create a feeling of community and joy in my classes, and to foster a supportive dynamic among learners. I love watching students light up, laugh, work through challenges, and become more confident learners.

For private tutoring, I work with all ages, from elementary to high school. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, warm and engaging. While I tailor my approach to student age, stimulating discussion and idea exchange to engender deeper understanding will be common to all. I keep my student active through our sessions, solving problems and engaging in critical thinking.
