For 30 years I've enjoyed to satisfaction of helping my students reach their goals quickly and easily. I have a great deal of experience with students of all ages, from pre-kindergarten to adult, in all subject areas (except high school math and science), including English as a Second Language and Special Education. In addition, I've gained the expertise in test preparation, especially standardized testing from college entrance through professional exams for certification, licensing, masters' and doctoral degrees, along with professional advancement.
Because of the wide range of accomplishments and the gratifying results I've witnessed in my students' achievements, I am confident that I will continue to help future students as they seek their academic and professional goals. I look forward to the opportunity of guiding you in your process, showing you ways to facilitate and enhance your results.
Among the services I excel in are assisting students in their language acquisition needs, making your accomplishment easier and faster, teaching high school students the specialized test-taking skills they need to reach their desired goal--or higher--with composite scores going up by 16 - 25%, and showing you the easiest strategies for getting A's on your essays and tests. Further expertise includes helping with reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, and speed reading, as well as taking young children from reading readiness to the emergent reader, then reading above grade level. If you need a diagnosis of specific needs and the design of an individualized program for success, I can also provide those.
Other areas in which I have extensive success are demonstrating test-taking skills for professionals seeking career advancement--with 100% results-- identifying barriers to success an eliminating them, and knowing how to enhance world language acquisition by building vocabulary, knowledge of verbs and grammar using the fastest, most engaging strategies, promoting quick recall and eliminating issues of focus.
The achievements I've been able to guide my students in are also due to the dedicated use of individualized games, accomplishment incentives and rewards programs designed to meet the needs of each learner.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The key to success with a new student is creating a comfortable learning environment and finding out what has worked for them in the past and what has failed them as well. We will then target their main goals and then scale them down to manageable step-by-step plans by focusing on their best personal learning style.
