Hi, I’m Carly! I have an Early Childhood Education degree (covers Pre-K to 5th grade along with special education) from Western Michigan University and a Teaching English to Foreign Learners certificate (ELLs of all ages) from the The Language House TEFL located in Prague in the Czech Republic. I’ve completed a variety of internships with ages from 5 years old to adults. My most recent teaching experience was teaching third grade for four years. I absolutely loved it. I decided to resign because I had twins! I stay home with them during the day now and I’m looking to tutor during after-school hours. I love working with kids because they have such different outlooks on life and teaching. I enjoy getting creative with learning and working together to find the best way to individualize learning, whether it’s for children or adults. I like to focus on growth while keeping state standards and life skills in mind. I believe children are capable of more than what adults often give them credit for and that adults can in fact learn new tricks.
