What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know them first! I want to hear about them and their interests! Then, I want to hear how they feel about the subject matter and what they feel their strengthens and weaknesses are in realtion to the subject matter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a double major in Elementary English Education and English Language Arts. I am also a certified teacher.

How did you get started teaching?
I fell in love with teaching at a young age and have been teaching others ever since, whether that was in the classroom or on the field/court.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a broad spectrum of students. My students have been racially diverse, religiously diverse, and diverse in their educational experiences. I have worked with all ages: from Kindergarten to High School and everywhere inbetween.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have taken part in "remote" or "online learning" this past year. It has been quite the adventure to navigate but it has been such a growing experience for both myself and my students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who not only cares about the subject and teaching but also cares about you and your fellow classmates.
