I am a 2019 PhD graduate in the field of nueroscience who has a passion for research, teaching, and science literacy. I have taught/tutored science related courses for elementary students all the way through advanced upper level undergradute students. I pride myself on breaking down traditonally difficult conecepts into easy to understand material and cultivating a sense of curiostiy that will drive future learning.
I specialize in general biology, biomedical science, neuroscience, general chemistry, zoology, and physiology, but I am also fluent in most other fields of science.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Discuss exsisting knowldge, identify knowledge goals, form a teaching plan, set up meeting times, and provide study material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my PhD in neuroscience, 5 years teaching experience, and 6 years scientific research experience.

$25/hour for basic course tutoring, additional prices vary for extra materials provided.
How did you get started teaching?
I have taught youth science programs, substitute taught high school and middle school students, taught undergraduate college courses, and wrote curriculum for new undergraduate labs.

the discovery of new antidepressant medications to aid in the treatment of our current mental health crisis.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor who is knowledgable, excited about their work, willing to answer questions, and who can explain absract information in an easy to understand manner.
