About
I have more than 14 years of progressive international experience in teaching university Students. For example, I teach in USA, United Kingdom (Europe), Egypt (Africa) and Saudi Arabia (Asia). Thus, I have the skills of teaching students from different backgrounds.
1- I start by providing the students with a general overview of the course and giving them their syllabus.
2- As the students' attention span is about 15-20 min, I involve the student’s in interactive learnings. For example, 2-5 minutes active engagement to vitalize the students for about 20 min followed by another active involvement for the remaining time.
3- Speaking clearly, loudly enough, changing tones, stressing on important points, and pausing and talking to give the students time to think and write.
4- I plan my lectures to suit Students with different backgrounds, abilities and skills by concentrating on knowledge they already have by analogy to the topic, outlining few points to answer the main question, repeating these points two or three times, giving examples and demonstrating them with slides, pictures, formulas and short videos to increase students’ understanding and interest.
5- I always review my lectures to refresh my mind and to deliver my lectures confidently to excite and inspire the students rather than proving my ability.
I love to share my passion for science with my students. And I am good in that (most of the time). While teaching, we learn how to share ideas to improve ourselves. Teaching is a fun creative process not to mention the great feeling when I see my students succeed in their accomplishments. Finally, teaching keeps me learning novel things daily.
