About
I am passionate about learning, and love nurturing other people's hunger for knowledge. Curiosity is a very powerful thing. I suppose I never grew out of that phase in early childhood where I wouldn't stop asking "why".
My skills include finding real world applications for mathematical concepts, using creative strategies to bridge gaps in mathematical knowledge, and facilitating group learning.
I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, double majoring in advanced physics and astronomy, and minoring in mathematics. I know how much of a nerd that makes me, but I like to think I'm a cool nerd. My post-graduate goal is to become a physics professor at a research university. In fact, I have a research project underway set to begin in May.
I was recruited by the director for the Wayne State University Center for Excellence and Equity in Mathematics to be a teachers assistant for their honors math program, and have two years of experience tutoring and assisting in math workshops.
