About

Having just recently graduated high school myself from TJHSST, a top STEM school in the country, I know what is currently being taught in school and how to best prepare for exams, both standardized and technical ones.

I love explaining concepts and helping students gain both the necessary knowledge and confidence to succeed. Whether it's to prepare for a specific test or to gain general knowledge, I enjoy seeing a student's progression.

Frequently asked questions

First I'll want to get a sense of where the student currently is by asking to see their recent work, ask the student how they view their skills, then ask the student to complete a few practice problems if necessary. I'll also ask the student if he or she wants to take the learning in a certain direction so I'll know how to proceed.

I graduated from TJHSST with a 4.6 GPA, 1600 on the SAT, 800 on the Math and Chemistry subject tests, and took and passed 9 APs with 5s. I will be majoring in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon in the fall.

I have been tutoring in STEM since 7th grade, because I had a good grasp of the material and I liked helping other students understand the concepts.

I have worked with students ranging from 3rd to 12th grade. Some of the students I've tutored just wanted to get a better grasp of what they were learning in school or learn more advanced topics, but I've also tutored students to specifically pass tests like the SAT.

Make sure the teacher understands what your goal is, whether it's to pass a specific class or to better understand the material you're learning. With STEM, it's especially important that the teacher can explain 'why' and is able to break large concepts into smaller steps that are easier to grasp.

What do you want to learn from the teacher? How in depth do you want to learn it?
