About

I'm Alex! I am a current student at Coastal Carolina University studying marine science with a minor in psychology. I absolutely love helping others, and I am constantly helping my peers study and complete assignments. I have been stuck in multiple classes where I simply don't enjoy the class because of the teacher. I feel like I have the opportunity to help others grasp information in an easier, broken down type of way!

I have about 4 years of experience in tutoring my peers within a school setting. Additionally, I have 6 years of babysitting experience where I have tutored kids aged 3-12 with their homework that dealt with multiple subjects.

My main goal is to make learning simple, and fun, especially during this quarantine. Be safe and let me know the best way I can help!

I have struggled with math my whole life, which has led me to reach out for help for years. Over time I have developed a strong understanding of simple maths. This has led to completing calculus my junior year of high school. I know math can be hard, but I have developed strategies and different ways to simplify certain math topics to make them overall, easier to understand.

Science has been my favorite subject for as long as I can remember. I competed in multiple science fairs, created countless projects, and have even developed example materials for previous teachers to use in their current curriculum. I have work experience in a veterinary hospital as well as a science laboratory, so I am very well versed in medical science knowledge. I am also a marine science major, which requires a deep knowledge of geology, chemistry, biology, and physics! All of my experiences have allowed me to have a deep relationship with the scientific world. Science is one of my favorite subjects to tutor, and just like with mathematics, I have developed ways to break down scientific concepts to make them easier to comprehend.

My number one priority when tutoring and helping others is to break down the information for them to be able to do it on their own. My goal is not to do work for them, but to help them understand it in the long run. Contacting me is easy and I am pretty much always readily available. I am a fast responder and will answer any questions that may be buzzing in your mind. Cant wait to hear from you!

Alex was really able to explain things to me in a slower pace where I could understand my assignments. She really looks out for me and makes sure that the work I complete is done at the best of my own ability.
