I am in my 4th year as a special education teacher with MCPS and prior I worked with students in the classroom as a Paraeducator. I have my Master's Degree in Special Education with a concentration in early childhood education. I enjoy watching students build their confidence with new learning and mastering concepts. I have been trained in Really Great Reading and Orton Gillingham.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Build a relationship with the new student to discover their strengths and weaknesses. Discuss what style of learning best fits the needs of the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors degree is Psychology and am currently in my last year for my Masters program in Special Education. I hold a conditional certification in Special Education I toon and currently work in an elementary school. I have passed Praxis 1, Special Education Praxis and Teaching Reading Praxis. I have been trained in many different areas including differentiated learning, teaching with technology, Orton-Gillingham and the reading interventions.

I charge $25/per session for 1-2 sessions a week, and $20/per session for 3+ sessions a week.
