I am an experienced Academic Advisor with proven skills working with students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. I feel this is the correct position for me because my experience and education match the skills for which you are searching.

I am strongly committed to the area of academic advising as I am an Academic Advisor, English teacher and Business teacher at Rosedale Academy for the past four years. Rosedale Academy is an international school which has its headquarters in Canada. I have been responsible for planning, developing, and conducting individual advising assistance with academics, class scheduling, and curriculum development. I have helped the students choose the best universities for the courses they want to take and I have also guided them on what university degree course would best suit them and the degree course options available to them. I have also been responsible on guiding my fellow teachers on lesson planning and curriculum development. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Information Systems which I obtained from Bowie State University in Maryland, USA. I spent three and a half years in the USA pursuing my masters degree and this experience exposed me to a vast variety of cultures. I have strong organizational skills which have been shown through tracking and monitoring multiple students through various semesters. Because of this all of the students have completed their course completion deadlines so as to make it for graduation on time.

I hold a Rosedale Teaching Certificate and attend progressive workshops, which have enhanced my English teaching and tutoring skills.

I also studied and lectured at Bugema University which uses the American System curriculum hence giving me hands on experience in the American system curriculum in addition of course to the experience I also obtained when I did my master’s degree in the USA.

I also tutor on italki.com as well as Engoo.com. Working on these two online sites has helped me gain vast experience teaching English online to students of all age brackets. On these two sites, I give lessons on how to pass the IELTS exam and other English lessons.

I am very well versed with Microsoft Office Suite and will be ready to take the test if need be.

I believe in motivating and inspiring those less privileged than me and would be very excited to work with an organization that feels young people’s lives with hope. I always go an extra mile to make sure that at the end of the day, I have brought a smile to someone’s face.
