Mastermind Tutoring
About
As a student that has had work published in several anthologies, newspapers, and magazines, I am well versed in not only what teachers in school look for, but also what it takes to be a professional. I have a great relationship with students and am willing to match their needs however I can.
Writing and literature are my passions, and teaching them to children is extremely fulfilling. Seeing a student smile after reading their work is what brings me joy, and I seek to make writing an enjoyable and liberating experience.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to evaluate where writers are at by reviewing any past work or sample writing they can provide me. If that isn't possible, I get started with my students by offering a short prompt and giving them time to respond in writing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've tutored younger children in writing and math since middle school. I am an award winning writer with many academic accolades, which helps me see what aspects of writing each individual needs to improve.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $10 per hour tutoring elementary school students and $15 per hour tutoring middle and high school students. To review an essay, under 5 pages costs $8 and anywhere up to 15 pages is $12.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with middle and elementary school students from both public and private schools.
