About
As a high school student, a lot of my knowledge for Mathematics is fresh, unlike for college students or older. I also explain concepts in as many ways as needed, and with as much patience as needed, to ensure that my student understands the topic. As far as my experience, I've been tutoring students in elementary school and middle school in my community for the last 3 years.
I enjoy encouraging young kids toward the right path, especially with something I feel skilled about. It's one of the most satisfying feelings to push a student in the right direction and see them succeed.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I talk to the parent to discuss the behavior of the student and their attitude toward school to understand their strengths and weaknesses. I, then, talk to the student to discuss how they would like me to teach them and what topics they are struggling with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a high school senior and participate in tutoring opportunities year-round at my school and in my community. Currently, I am a part of STEPS education where high school and college students tutor kids in our community for the non-profit organization. I have been a part of this organization for 2 years now, but have been consistently tutoring since my sophomore year of high school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$15/hour. I am willing to go as in-depth for the content as necessary and will be open to answering any questions by the parent or student.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching by participating in Honors Societies at my school to give back to my community. I realized how much I enjoyed helping students and wanted to continue doing it outside of school through STEPS Education.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with elementary schools (grades 1-5), middle schoolers (specifically grade 7), and high schoolers throughout all grades.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would recommend reaching out and discussing the details on what assistance they need.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider whether the question is appropriate for conversation, but to remember that no questions are stupid questions.
