ISA Group Of Florida
About
All my students passed the ASVAB test.
My reward stands in the accomplishments of milestones that my students achieve in their life path. Most of them joined the armed forces like me, others, dreamed of visiting a certain foreign country, and learned a language that brought them countless rewards. To me, it's the best feeling in the world to receive a postcard from overseas.
I am a Certified Interpreter in Romance languages which I tested for with the Defense Language Institute Monterrey, California. I used these skills during my military time in the Navy and Coast Guard interpreting and translating for the U.S. Government in foreign forums both on our homeland and overseas. So far I had the privilege of working in Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia but also visited Australia and Far East during my athlete years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with an assessment of the student's knowledge as well as the goal(s) and relevant timeline in which to create a learning plan.
Assignments are important because they allow me to also customize the needed skills, and fill in the gaps of knowledge needed to achieve objectives of the aimed goal of the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Instructor with the U.S. Coast Guard, a Simunitions Instructor, a Commissioned Officer of the same armed forces, as well as a graduate of the Police Academy in Romania where I graduated the Law School but also have practiced my specialty as a Forensic Expert.
Occasionally I taught art classes, one of my many hobbies that I enjoy to share with my children and adult students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate starts at $20/ half hour which is the best way to start in order to learn about mutual compatibility.
For classes booked in a bulk of 20 full hours, my rate is $18/ half hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught since I was in high school when my seamstress asked me to tutor her son in exchange for making me clothes. It was the best deal eversince, and I'm proud to say that the son is a doctor while my wardrobe, quite special for those times.
What types of students have you worked with?
My youngest student was 5 y.o.; Rocco started to learn Italian with me. My oldest student is 102 y.o. (yes, no typo); Mr Brown started to learn Romanian at the age of 99.
