Clarity of purpose and being conscientious about my students' comprehension during lessons is the driving force behind what I do.
With a background in marketing, I am able to sell myself to win prospective buyers. Even though I am just few months into teaching ESL, I have been able to transfer this communication/interpersonal skill to the classroom while delivering lessons, earning a letter of recommendation from the Director of Studies, Interactive Technical College, Gainesville Georgia. I also got commendation as an ESL Teaching Assistant at Center for Pan Asian Community Services, Duluth, Georgia. These were both in 2019.
I am TESOL Certified with 20-hour certification each in Teaching IELTS and Teaching Young learners. I also got TESL Canada Certification from TESL Canada Federation in January, 2020.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what the need of my student is. This is followed by an assessment of the student before implementing a blend of teaching styles (visuals, auditory and participatory) depending on the strategies that work best with the student. I also take the age of the student into account during formulation.
