I truly love teaching students how to read, write and grow. I have been an elementary school special education teacher for over 10 years in Anne Arundel County. I hold a Master's Degree in teaching & I also teach yoga! I would love to work with your student to help him/her achieve their goals.
I enjoy learning through the eyes of the students. There is nothing more thrilling than to see them happy and excited to learn! This is what I strive for. Not only do I want them to learn what they 'have to', I want them to find the meaning in what they are learning. This is what will make our time together meaninful for them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess their past growth. I will speak with parents and the student about what has worked in the past and about what does not work for that particular student. Most importantly, I will get to know the student, their likes and dislikes. I want to work with them, as a learning team.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an elementary school special education teacher for the past 10 years, covering Pre-K thru 5th grades. I also hold a Master's Degree in teaching.
