Kristin Chartier

I am passionate about the work I do with children because every child I have worked with has influenced my life in some way. I tend to become close with families I have worked with and still keep in touch with many of the students I have worked with over the years. I received my master's degree in Special Education in 2004 and have experience with children of all levels in the classroom setting and at home. The majority of my work history is with elementary aged children. I appreciate and understand that each child learns differently. I will customize a plan that focuses on the students' strengths while using input from parents, caregivers and school personnel. I have found the most success in providing positive reinforcement in gaining momentum and progress with my students. I am available for tutoring for elementary aged children and/or children with intensive developmental disabilities (ages 3-22).
