I have been an English teacher for about 4 years now and I have a passion for helping every human find his/ her/ their voice. Not only am I interested in helping children and young adults, but humans of all ages. Not only do I enjoy helping people write well, but also discover a voice they did not know they had. This process does not begin and end with writing, only, but through the lens of critical reading and thinking.
Giving people a voice that they never knew they had.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The process would begin with identifying what the student feels as though he/she / they need. Then we would review the work/ reading and come to a similar understanding. Next, we would work on discussing and working on the skills/ assignment/ process together. Eventually, the goal is that the student would learn these steps and graduate from needing me as a scaffold.
