I've been working as a writing and public speaking coach since 2013, helping adults communicate with clarity and confidence. Helping my sister homeschool my nephews during the Covid-19 pandemic reminded me how much I enjoy working with younger students as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is a conversation with the student, and if the student is a young person, their parent or caregiver. What are your goals? What assets do you bring to your learning? What challenges are you experiencing right now? Then together we create a plan to build up the student's skills in ways that will help them meet their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Two master's degrees and several years' experience as a coach and teacher.

I use a sliding scale so that students can afford the tutoring that will help them succeed.
