I believe the best tutoring comes from a person who can relate. It can be difficult to teach something you have not practiced in years as ciriculum and science in particular is ever changing. Being a soon to be highschool graduate I am farmiliar with the current ciriculum and have gotten through it myself with honors. I am an International Baccalaureate student who took two, two year courses in Higher level Biology and Standard level English. In the fall I will be attending University as a Biochemisty majr on the road to med school!
Giving another student that confidence to continue learning and helping them find what they might enjoy in education is everything to me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically we would start with a self reflection, it can be helpful to both myself and the student if we are able to identify problem areas this way we dont waste time practicing something the student has already mastered. Next we would sit down and go over the specific material atleast two ways. I found in my own studies that videos and hands on activities where more engaging and made more sense to me.
