Mrs. Morse, Of Course!
About
From the time I was 7 years old, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. I taught Sunday School all through high school. During that time, my parents opened our home to exchange students who were enrolled at the local community college and did not speak English. I spent 4 years helping them to decode their textbooks and enjoying every minute of it.
I graduated from Elms College in 2001 with an BEd in Elementary Education and a BS in psychology. After teaching first grade at a Catholic School for 2 years, I enrolled at Westfield State College for my master’s in reading. I continued to work full-time while pursuing my degree and graduated in May 2006.
I taught first and and third grades at two different elementary schools in my hometown. In 2011, I gave birth to my first child and opened a home daycare and tutored after school. We moved to Billerica in 2015 where I have spent my time volunteering at my children’s preschool and now, their elementary school.
I miss teaching and will begin taking additional classes over the summer to further my education and to prepare me for a return to the classroom.
