Hello!
I am a dual-licensed (Special Ed and General Ed) MA certified teacher looking for some after school and weekend tutoring opportunities. I have 10+ years of experience and have worked with K-12 grade students. I am super flexible and can bring materials to work with and/or work with materials provided by you or your student's teacher. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is chatting on the phone with the student's parents/guardians to find out what goals they have for their student. If we both feel like we would be a good match, I can give references upon request. After that we set an initial date and time and start tutoring!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed teacher in Gen Ed 2-6, and in Special Ed k-12, I hold Med, and have worked in both private and public schools. I have a Master Degree in Education.

How did you get started teaching?
I always knew I wanted to be a teacher; however, I loved science, as well. I earned my first degree in Biology and worked as an assistant doing research in MA, Australia, and New Zealand. After doing so, I realized that I missed working with children and decided to combine my passion for science with teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience working with children with anxiety, ADHD, autism, language based learning disabilities, and English language learners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just DJed our school dance! It was so fun to see all the students and staff have a great time :)
