No two students are the same, so each program begins with a thorough evaluation of your student’s strengths, weaknesses, interests, and challenges on their chosen admissions test. From this assessment, we gain a deep understanding of your student’s individual needs and use this knowledge to create a customized plan of study. With this study plan in hand, your student and I work together online, exploring the the intricacies of their test and mastering the strategies necessary to maximize performance and increase their score. Once your student has grasped the skill sets necessary for success, we then embark on a process of iterative test taking, refining and honing these newly acquired skills in simulated test day scenarios.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked as an SAT tutor since 2004. I received my initial training with Study Point, the nations leader in one-to-one, in-home tutoring, and while there I learned to tutor both individually and in the classroom setting. After Study Point, I ventured into private tutoring, crafting individualized SAT regimens for a broad range of students in the Boston area. For the last 7 years I have worked exclusively online, tutoring students across the United States and beyond.
In addition to my skills as a tutor, I have extensive experience working as a teacher in the classroom. I have taught at Umass Lowell and Northwestern University, and I currently serve on the faculty of Emerson College and Umass Amherst. These teaching positions have given me a unique understanding of teaching students that enhances my ability to connect with them and adds value to my work as a tutor.
