Your Virtual PhD Math Tutor
About
In an uncertain and unprecedented time for students and parents alike, I offer virtual math tutoring to keep your students going strong.
I have a BA in Math and a PhD in Engineering and have tutored many hours over a few years from middle school through college math courses.
It is a very important time for students to continue to have routines and stay focused on their goals as schools are closed and programs are postponed for an unknown duration.
I am passionate about all things math and love the moment when a student just "gets it" and ideas begin to click.
I strive to make math approachable, rewarding, and not so scary, since I believe it is the number one subject to land the highest paying and most diverse set of careers in our exciting tech industries.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In these uncertain times, it will be important to have a good working relation virtually. (eg. skype/zoom)
When studying math, it is very useful to be able to write and draw together. I will introduce the student to virtual whiteboard apps that we can share assignments together and write and draw equations and diagrams in real-time collaboration.
We then understand the student's curriculum and plan while schools are temporarily closed or remote and get to work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in math from an Ivy League university and a PhD in engineering from a top program.
