About

I've had a passion for math since third grade, some of my favorite sub-fields being calculus and real analysis. This early passion led me to tutor for Mathnasium for a year and a half as well as majoring in mathematics at Tufts University. I gain great satisfaction from reaching that "ah-ha" moment when learning a new concept, especially when I can help someone else achieve that moment. Not only am I driven to help students understand material, but overall I'm driven by the goal of making students excited about what their learning. My top goal in any tutroing session is to build a student's confidence in their knowledge, abilities, and themselves.

I love being a part of a student's journey to understanding but more importantly enjoying a subject they're learning. I'm particularly interested in helping foster female students' interest in math as a rare woman in math myself. At the end of the day, I want every student to not only be more confident in themselves and their skills, but also share a love for mathematics!

Frequently asked questions

I graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with my primary major being mathematics. I worked as a tutor for Mathnasium for a year and a half teaching elementary and middle school math, through algebra 2.

I have largely worked with elementary through middle school students as a part of my previous job but have frequently helped my own fellow-students in understanding material in our courses all the way through college.

Do you primarily need help with homework, preparing for a test, or building knowledge in a concept? Do you expect your tutor to create material for you or will you be providing material for your tutor to help you understand?
