Spelman College
About
Hi! My name is Taylor, and I’m currently a mathematics major with a computer science minor at Spelman College. I have a strong background in mathematics ranging from algebra and geometry to statistics, linear algebra, and higher-level college math. I’ve also presented mathematical research at national conferences, which has strengthened both my analytical and communication skills.
When working with students, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I believe math makes much more sense when students understand the reasoning behind concepts instead of just memorizing formulas, so I aim to explain material in a clear, patient, and interactive way.
I work with students at different skill levels and tailor sessions to each student’s learning style and goals. Whether a student needs help preparing for an exam, improving grades, completing homework, or building long-term confidence , I strive to make sessions productive, engaging, and stress-free.
I’m especially passionate about helping students realize they are capable of succeeding in math or science, even if they’ve struggled with it in the past.
