Hi. I am a semi-retired man with advanced degrees. I can teach every subject (I was a biology "pre-med " and English double major) except foreign languages and including math up to and including algebra. My strengths are teaching English, history, civics and government, and the sciences. I am very patient, always encouraging, and never judgmental. I enjoy the challenge of helping my students find the motivation and curiosity to understand schoolwork (and the world!).

Education isn't something we can grab off the shelf, it's a collection of skills that students use for the rest of their lives. As a graduate of Dartmouth College, I've developed a particular love for learning what a student already knows, and sewing new knowledge into that fabric. While my most recent experience was as a statistics teaching assistant at the collegiate level (2yrs), I also have experience in literacy tutoring and music theory instruction at the middle school level (1yr each).
