About

I do not have a business. I am rather a professional. I earned a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Lesley University and a BA in Political Science from Bradford College. I hold two Massachusetts Initials Teaching Licenses (History and Foreign Language - French) for middle / high school.

My background includes four years of full time teaching secondary French levels 1-4 courses following the Massachusetts' Foreign Language Curriculum standards in accordance with the ACTFL proficiency guidelines. Also, as a substitute teacher, I instructed diverse middle / high school students in World History: Human Beginnings and Early Civilizations (Africa, Mesopotamia, Phoenicia, Egypt, India and China). I Modified lessons for ELL students based on the teachers’ instructions. I inspired students to stay focused and be accountable; maintained appropriate standards of behavior.

I have the passion and ability of an effective tutor with patience and a true desire to share my knowledge with others.

I have the depth and breadth of subject content. I am a native speaker and have the capability to help students make real life connections through culture, and communication.

I will use instructional technology and employ efficient sheltered teaching strategies to enhance comprehension. Also, I will modify my tutoring sessions to address any given student's learning difference (i.e. students on IEPs / 504s) with frequent repetition / clarification, auditory / visual presentation and additional time to complete tasks.

I love to be able to share my knowledge with others.

After a decade in the financial industry I realised it wasn't for me and I decided to change my career. Since, I was always interested in teaching. I went back to school and get my Master in Education. I love working with adolescences as a coach, mentor, teacher and tutor. It gives a sense of accomplishment and feeling a part of something larger than myself.

All ages from middle school to high school and adults.

I went to my students graduation and one of them has mentionned my name in his speech. The warm welcome and appreciation all of them have shwan has inpired me to become a better teacher.

I will tell the student to go with her/his guts feeling, make sure there is connection and look for competencies.

Students should think through questions like the teacher's background and credentials.
