SY Science And Math Tutoring!
About
I understand that every child is different. The whole point of one-on-one tutoring is finding a specialized method for your child. I really focus on identifying what learning style your child responds to, so they can speed up their comprehension process! I think this method benefits both short-term and long-term goals; they can learn to study even without me there!
I've always been a person who enjoys the feeling of helping others! My favorite part of tutoring is being able to help someone with their little (or big!) push they need to achieve their goals! My goal is to make sure your child is confident in their abilities and get them to the point where they don't need my help anymore!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I think every student and every learning style is different. Personally I'm a visual learners and I think practice is the best way to build confidence. However that's not always the case! I usually take the first class to test out all of the most common learning methods to see what your child responds to best and follow that method while incorporating others along the way!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors of science with a minor in chemistry so a lot of math and critical analysis skills! For my future profession (doctor) I've taken the MCAT and from that re-learned college level math, physics, biology, biochemistry, socially, and pshycology.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I like to determine prices depending on the level of difficulty of the subject. My starting price is around 35 an hour typically I reserve this for lower and middle school level math!
How did you get started teaching?
I've tutored since middle school! It started off with tutoring kids from my school, in my neighborhood, and my cousins; and then it transitioned into working at my colleges learning center!
What types of students have you worked with?
I usually work with middle school children who are struggling to understand or grasp various subjects.
