Paul Roessling
About
I'm Paul — a matriculating medical student with dual Master's degrees in Biomedical Science and Public Health from Tufts. I tutor students from elementary school through the graduate level, both in-person in the Boston area and virtually.
Subjects I cover: Elementary Math, Elementary Science, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Health Sciences, Medical Terminology, Reading Comprehension, Writing, Study Skills, and General Science. I also help with graduate and medical school admissions — personal statements, secondary essays, and interview prep — as someone who just went through that process successfully.
What I bring that most tutors don't is years of teaching experience outside of a classroom. I've facilitated group sessions for adolescents in mental health treatment, designed and delivered staff training curricula in hospital settings, and worked with patients and families who had no medical background at all. That's where I learned to teach — in rooms where I had to read the person in front of me and adjust on the fly, not follow a script. I've worked with kids, teenagers, and adults — and I'm comfortable adapting to any age group or learning level.
I'm direct, I'm patient, and I genuinely like working with young people. I also lift weights, play guitar, and love a good book — so if your teenager thinks tutors are boring, I might surprise them.
Whether your child needs help building foundational skills, your high schooler is aiming for a stronger GPA, or you're a college student staring down an organic chemistry final, I'll meet you where you are and we'll work from there.
