Math 101
About
As of the recent times we are all just getting used to this new life of online interactions. With school and entertainment on the same screen it can get hard to get children to focus. That's where I come in. With a fun, interactive yet competitive environment I allow my students to grow and learn while enjoying the experience. Having worked as a babysitter I have learnt a couple behavioural cues and gained a better understanding as to when children are reaching their capacity to absorb new information and when they need some physical activity to get their creative juices flowing. With a carefully shaped syllabus to cater to indivual student needs I hope to get them in a happier and more enthusiastic mood than when we start.
I have always grown up loving math and so any opportunity I can get to share this excitement or to introduce someone who doesn't enjoy math into the world of why this can be such a rewarding subject makes me very happy. I also enjoy working with kids or children my age because it always teaches me something and often brings me a new friend!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first class would be introductory, asking them a little about themselves, why they are taking tutoring and what they're hoping to get out of these tutoring sessions. I will also establish that I am a safe space and if they have any reason to reach out at any time they can.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a highschool graduate and I am headed to Purdue University for Biomedical Engineering. I have studied in Newton South Highschool and often stop by at the Math centre to help the teacher in charge if I can. I also have a 730 on SAT which I took in 2018.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge about 15-20$ per hour and the pricing is negotiable.
