About

Level Up Academic Strategies is a tiny tutoring group started by twin sisters who love teaching. Together we have over 20 years of experience teaching English Language Arts, history/social studies, writing skills, communication skills, study skills and more to students in middle school, high school, and beyond. We're kinda nerdy, very detail oriented, probably overeducated and always ready to make learning as fun and painless as possible as we help you take your academic performance to the next level. If you're willing to set goals and do your best, we can get you there!

EP

Emelie P.

Mrs. P is the best teacher I have ever had! She literally got me through college by the amazing preparation I had throughout my high school years. When I started college I was surrounded by students who couldnt write a simple essay. They didnt even know the proper format! (How did they get into school?!) After witnessing that class in horror, I immediately wrote to Mrs. P thanking her for all of the work she invested into my education.
Along with helping me in English/Writing courses, Mrs. P also taught me a lot about government and politics. She made politics easy to understand and that is not something many can do!
She was not only constructive, extremely organized, and positive, but she was also enthusiastic and made learning fun. You can tell that Mrs. P is passionate about what she does (and that is rare to find in some instructors these days).

I had a wonderful experience with Ms.P. She push me as a student, I especially like the fact I can contact her outside of school if I didn’t understand the material and she would break it down for me until I had a better understanding of the material. I am now a college student that confident in her reach paper and writing as well as breaking down challenging materials. And push my thinking even further or deeper.

Frequently asked questions

We like to know what a student is most passionate about—not just in school, but "IRL" (in 'real' life). The first step is building a relationship by finding some common ground and getting to know each other. Next, we focus on learning about strengths and challenge areas before setting some clear and concrete goals, both short and long term.

Each of us hold two BA degrees, a Master's degree, and several teaching licensures. Our expertise includes teaching honors, A.P., and accelerated courses in addition to inclusion-based special education classes.

Our live sessions cost $75 per hour, and are available in 60 minute ($75) and 30 minute ($37.50) blocks. Pricing includes unlimited email communication between live sessions and session recaps with next steps. We offer a free consult.
