English, French, And History Tutoring

I am a part-time student at UMass Boston, currently pursuing studies in History and French. I graduated from Newton North High School in 2014, and afterwards spent a year at Oberlin College until I unfortunately had to leave in order to take care of my health.

I have been working with children for over five years, and tutoring for past two of them. I started out working at a summer program at Newton Community Education, assisting art teachers with their lessons, and soon discovered that I had a passion for working with students and helping them them achieve their goals. In 2015 I spent three weeks in Cambodia, teaching English to elementary and middle school students, and I have been privately tutoring both art and piano since 2017.

I absolutely love working with students, both children and adults, and seeing them improve in ways they never would have thought possible. Tutoring is a very individualized activity, and I always cater the way I teach to suit the needs and goals of each student. Since everyone has a different learning style, I try to use a variety of teaching methods to understand the unique struggles of my students, and help get them where they want to be.
