Recent College Graduate Science Tutor

I am a recent college graduate from the University of Central Florida, where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in neuropsychology. I am currently working in the medical field and am in the process of applying to physician assistant school. During college I gained lots of tutoring experience as a supplemental instructor leader (SI) in both organic chemistry and biochemistry. SI is a nationally recognized academic success and retention program in which the leader guides students through course material. As an SI leader, I helped students work through materials by breaking concepts down into more understandable terms, I created study guides and practice materials custom to the class and professor, as well as worked alongside the class professor. I have tons of practice materials that I can use and provide to students who I tutor, and will create new materials for each individual student’s needs.

As a pre-PA student, a majority of my classes were in the sciences, providing me a lot of experience in the sciences. I received an A in both organic chemistry 1 and 2 as well as biochemistry, and have even more experience in these subjects through tutoring and working closely with the class professors.

Tutoring is my passion and as a student I attended supplemental instruction myself so I understand the value of tutoring and what it’s like to be on both sides. Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a session!
