About
Hi there! My name is Arno and I'd love to be your tutor. As a college graduate form Tufts University with a B.S. in Biochemistry, I’ve developed a deep level of experience in a wide range of classes. I’m proud to say that I’ve maintained a GPA of 3.9 and made the Dean’s List every semester in college. I have experience both as a university teaching assistant (TA) and as a private tutor, so I’ll be able to adapt to your individual needs as a student.
The subjects I teach are chemistry, biology, biochemistry, essay writing, and computer science (C++). What sets me apart as a tutor in these areas is that I genuinely love and enjoy the material! So much so that I’ve established a deep understanding not only through coursework, but also through professional experience. The fundamental skills that I established in my classes have served me as a biochemistry and computational biology researcher at the Broad Institute. One of my personal philosophies as a tutor is to contextualize everything I teach within a wider perspective. How will I use what I learn? Why does this matter? What is the connection to my own goals and interests? These are questions that go beyond the class material itself, and my goal is to provide the environment and tools for you to explore them!
Whether your goal is to gain a deeper understanding of a course you enjoy, or get some mentorship for the premed process, or just to bump up your exam scores in a class that’s being a real pain, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me by phone, text, or email (I reply fastest to slowest in that order) and we can discuss how to make tutoring a helpful and rewarding experience for you.
