About
I will personally give your young scholar a standout tutoring experience focused on delivering performance improvements and fundamental understanding of the course material. I have a vested passion for helping others understand math and physics and have experience tutoring students in both from elementary school up to university.
For work, I am employed as a Smithsonian Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, working on the Event Horizon Telescope. I am a member of the team that took the first image of a black hole, and a co-recipient of the 2020 $3 million Breakthrough Prize, one of the most prestigious prizes in science. I am a recipient of the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, the premiere scholarship for undergraduate research in science and mathematics.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always begin by having the student attempt some practice problems. Watching how they go about solving real problems immediately identifies where they might need the most help, and allows us to construct a customized step-by-step problem-solving routine that they can follow to immediately see better results. This has worked without fail for every student I have tutored.
