About
As a Computer Engineering student at Tufts University, I bring a strong, current grasp of K-12 material along with a genuine enthusiasm for helping students learn. My math tutoring experience spans a wide range of levels, from elementary arithmetic and pre-algebra up through high school subjects like Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, gained through a school-affiliated tutoring program. This range has taught me how differently students think about math depending on their age and stage, a curious middle schooler wrestling with fractions needs a very different approach than a high schooler working through derivatives. I also have experience teaching Python and guiding high school students through building their own Raspberry Pi laptops as a coding club instructor.
I take time to get to know each student individually, understanding their learning style and personal goals so I can tailor my approach. I focus on identifying exactly where a student's understanding breaks down rather than just re-teaching the whole topic, which makes sessions more efficient and less frustrating. For students who want quick, focused help, I can provide efficient, concise support. For those looking to build a deeper understanding, I offer patient, methodical instruction that works through concepts step by step. I welcome parent feedback and am happy to adjust my methods to align with parental goals as well.
