Chemistry/math Tutor
About
I've enjoyed tutoring math and chemistry for over 16 years. (part-time) Over the years, have gained at lot of insight into key concepts and skills, and how to convey them to all levels of students.
Great to be a small part in the academic success of students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Usually I'll be asking a lot of questions about why a student needs tutoring: current course level, lastest tests & grade, current resources, when is next test or due date of a lab report or project. It's very helpful for the student to have a specific problem or topic to cover during a 1st session, which should be considered a trial session for both of us.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've enjoyed chemistry in general since HS. I scored an 800 on the SAT Chemistry subject test (called Achievement tests back then) and a 5 on a Chemistry AP exam. Have BS in Chemical Engineering from MIT and have worked in polymer R&D for ten years. All of this was a long time ago, though. I am a recent, but former tutor for Summit Educational Group, of 15 years+
