About
Robert Daniel Ortiz (pen name: The Lancaster Rose)
Founder, Joule Development Corporation • Reading, Writing & Literature Tutor
Hi! I’m Robert—many students call me Mr. Ortiz or Lancaster. I’m a lifelong storyteller, published writer, and patient coach who helps students fall in love with words and feel confident using them. Over the years I’ve written thousands of poems, essays, and long-form pieces, and I bring that creative energy into every lesson: curious, encouraging, and tailored to each student.
What it’s like to work with me
Think of our sessions as a friendly workshop: we read actively, ask smart questions, and turn ideas into clear, powerful writing. I break big tasks into simple, doable steps—brainstorm → outline → draft → polish—so students see progress right away. Along the way we grow vocabulary, strengthen grammar, and build the habits strong readers and writers rely on.
Why I’m a great fit
• Warm, steady mentorship: I meet students where they are and help them rise—without stress.
• Clear structure + creativity: We balance craft (thesis, evidence, transitions) with voice and imagination.
• Results that last: Confidence, study skills, and a toolkit students can use in every class.
Who I teach
Grades 4–12 and adult learners • Reading comprehension • Essay writing • Literature analysis • Creative writing • Study skills & revision strategies.
About my background
I’m the founder of Joule Development Corporation, where I lead creative and educational projects. I’ve worn many hats—athlete, scholar, entrepreneur—and I bring that discipline and curiosity to tutoring. Above all, I believe every student has a voice worth hearing; my job is to help them find it, shape it, and share it.
If you are a learner who could use a calm guide, a clear plan, and a spark of inspiration—I’d be honored to work with you.
