About
I can teach anyone to read more accurately, to attach new learning to old learning, to decode and comprehend ELA, to feel confident in the areas of writing, spelling, reading, speaking and self-advocacy. My students come to my office in Groton or meet me at the Groton library. In addition, I am available to parents who need help collaboratiing with their local school system on behalf of their child who might have a special need in the area of focus, organization, sensory processing, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD-.ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities., ages 6 to 18,
I have experience as an administrator in Special Education, and as a Learning Disabilities teacher. Currently I am a Special Educcation Advocate and Consultant, working with families and school systems on behalf of students who learn differently.
I am a part-time Yoga/Meditation teacher, helping adults live fully in the present, reducing anxiety and experiencing relaxation, mindful inner awareness and curiosity rather than judgement.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We meet, I answer all their questions, we decide when, where and how often turoring will be helpful. I have worked with students ages 5 to 22, in and out of public schools. I work collaboratively with students, their parents and their school systems to help them feel successful, competent, and strong.
